I’ve officially jumped aboard the Smashbox bandwagon. I received their new Shades of Fame collection yesterday and it’s amazing!
The collection includes 9 vibrant eye shadows, 2 cream eyeliners, a brush and their photo finish lid primer. Read on for a full tutorial!
Step 1: Begin by applying the photo finish lid primer to your eyelids and blend it with your finger.
Step 2: Sweep Bliss across the entire eyelid, and up to the brow line.
Step 3: Sweep Pacific from your lash line to the crease of your eye. For a more dramatic look, buff the shadow on.
Step 4: Buff Praline into the crease of your eye and along the outer edge of the lash line. Lightly brush Mocha into the outer crease.
Step 5: Using the liner end of the brush, apply the Bronze cream linerĀ tightly along the upper lash line. You can stop at the edge of the eye or bring it out further for a winged look. I’m obsessed with winged eyeliner…probably because I watch too much Mad Men and wish I lived in another era.
Step 6: Apply the Bronze liner underneath your eyes, stopping halfway from the inner eye. Then, using a smaller eyeshadow brush, line underneath the eye with Pacific.
Step 7: Apply mascara! Remember how I told you I was going to try RapidLash to see if it would actually make my eyelashes longer? Well IT DID. I actually stopped using it because they were getting too long!
And that’s it! The primer really makes the colors pop and they last all day. Buy it online from Ulta or your favorite beauty store. I hope you like it as much as I do.
PS- I had to take all these awkward pictures of myself with my 5,000 lb. Canon t2i in one hand, so sorry if they suck!

Thank you for this post! I love this palatte! Also, I love that you mentioned your 5000 lb t2i, I have the same and I’m always trying to do the one-handed self shot, that rarely works out
Just love your blog! I am so glad you found mine! : )
Gorgeous! I do quite like Smashbox products as well, but they kind of tend to be pricey for me. :S So I actually don’t own any. One day, I’ll start building a lil collection
